About PARKCHATA™

Seattle’s new outdoor Bachata & Salsa dance experience.

PARKCHATA™ was created to bring people together through dance, music, and community in one of Seattle’s most iconic public spaces. Our mission is to create welcoming outdoor experiences where beginners, experienced dancers, friends, families, and visitors can connect on the waterfront through the joy of bachata and salsa.

2026 marks PARKCHATA’s inaugural season on Seattle’s waterfront.

Set on Seattle’s revitalized waterfront at Pier 58, PARKCHATA™ transforms one of the city’s newest public spaces into a vibrant gathering place for dance, music, and a shared experience. Through beginner-friendly dance lessons, social dancing, and breathtaking views of Elliott Bay, PARKCHATA™ brings people together to connect, move, and celebrate along Seattle’s waterfront.

Whether it’s your first dance class or your hundredth social, you’ll find a place here.

More than a dance event, PARKCHATA™ is an invitation to connect with your city and the people around you.

Come learn something new, meet someone new, and enjoy one of the most unique dance settings in the Pacific Northwest.

At PARKCHATA™, we believe the best experiences are simple.

LEARN • DANCE • PLAY

Learn something new through beginner-friendly instruction. Dance with old friends and new faces. Play by exploring Seattle’s waterfront, enjoying the atmosphere, and becoming part of a vibrant community gathering.

Our mission is to make dance accessible, welcoming, and fun while creating opportunities for people to connect with their city, their community, and each other.

PARKCHATA™ is free and open to the public thanks to the support of sponsors, donors, and community partners who help make these experiences possible.
